Referred to by the local residents as "Vila", it is the capital of the island. It is located at the foot of a hill, at the top of which you can find the historic Barrio Antiguo (Old Town in English) or “Dalt Vila”.
One of the main attractions of the city, and what it’s really known for, is its bars, terraces, shops and the great environment that surrounds it. The dock area, known as el Puerto, is full of bars, pubs and shops.
Some of its highlights is the cathedral dated from the 14th Century and the Renaissance walls from the 16th Century, which are included among the historic art elements of Dalt Vila and declared as world heritage sites in 1999 by UNESCO.
Santa Eulalia Ferry provides its visitors a regular line every day, departing every hour between 10:30am and 5:30pm between the port of Ibiza City and any of the four locations of the northeast coast of the island: Santa Eulalia, Es Canar, Cala Llonga y Cala Pada.
It’s a great alternative to urban transportation, adding fantastic views and the sea breeze to the trip.
